Hope Landing Residents Learn About Healthier Smoke-Free Living
On March 19, 2026, The SOL Project partnered with AMPLIFY! to present “Support for Healthier, Smoke/Vape-Free Living” at Hope Landing, a permanent supportive housing community for formerly homeless adults ages 55 and older that promotes sober living. Ten residents attended the interactive session led by Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist Y’Lonn Burris, where they learned about the dangers of secondhand and thirdhand smoke, healthy ways to quit, and free quit-smoking resources. Educational handouts were provided to help residents make healthier choices.

If you or someone you know is ready to quit, Kick It California offers FREE support. Call 1-800-300-8086 (English) or 1-800-600-8191 (Spanish), text “Quit Smoking” or “Quit Vaping” to 66819, or visit www.KickItCA.org.
